■Unityを使えば5分でVR空間に美少女が召還できる

Unityを使えば誰でも超簡単にVR空間に美少女を召還できます。召還する美少女はUnity公式キャラクターの「ユニティちゃん」を使います。「ユニティちゃん」はUnityで開発をしている人が無料で使うことのできるキャラクターです。

※内容的には前回の記事『Unity2017で5分で出来るVR開発』の続きです。

 

 

■ユニティちゃんを召還する

 

 

Unityで新しい3Dプロジェクトを開始します。

 

 

UnityのAsset Store（アセットストア）から「ユニティちゃん」をダウンロードできます。Asset StoreとはUnityのプロジェクトで使うことのできる3DモデルやBGMなど、様々なアセット（部品）をダウンロードすることのできる公式ショップです。無料のものから有料のものまであります。

Unityのツールバーから「Window」→「Asset Store」を選択して、アセットストアを開きます。

 

 

Unityの中央画面にアセットストアが表示されます。

 

 

アセットストアの上部に検索欄があります。そこに『Unity Chan』と入力し、右の虫眼鏡マークをクリックします。

 

 

検索結果が表示されます。検索順位「RELEVANCE（関連性）」の最上位に『’Unity-chan!'Model』というアセットが表示されると思います。これをクリックします。

 

 

次の画面で、無料であることを示す「FREE」という表示があることを確認し、その下の『Import』というボタンをクリックします。

 

 

上のような画面が表示されます。右下の『Import』というボタンをクリックします。アセットのダウンロードが開始されます。

 

 

ダウンロードが完了すると、Unityの左下にあるProjectウインドウに『UnictyChan』というフォルダが作成されています。このフォルダの中に、ユニティちゃんのモデルが格納されています。

 

 

「UnityChan」フォルダの中の「Models」というフォルダを開きます。その中に『unitychan.fbx』というファイルがあります。これをUnity中央のScene画面にドラッグします。するとユニティちゃんの3Dモデルがゲーム画面に設置されます。

 

 

UnityのVRサポートを有効にします。ユニティのツールバーから、「Edit」→「Project Settings」→「Player」を選択。「PlayerSettings」の中の「Virtual Reality Supported」にチェックを入れます。

 

 

再生ボタンを押してVRヘッドセットを被ります。するとVR空間のどこかにユニティちゃんがいるはずです。ただし、ユニティちゃんの設置場所によっては遠かったりするかもしれません。その場合、メインカメラとユニティちゃんの位置を調整する必要があります。

 

 

位置調整をします。左のHierarchy画面から「unitychan」をクリックします。右のInspector画面に「unitychan」のプロパティが表示されます。この中の「Transform」→『Position』が位置の設定、『Rotation』が向きの設定になります。unitychanの『Position』を「x=0、y=0,  z=0」に設定してください。

同様に、Mein Cameraの『Position』を「x=0, y=2, z=1」に、『Rotation』を「x=0、y=180、z=0』に設定してください。

 

 

再生ボタンを押し、VRヘッドセットを被れば目の前にユニティちゃんがいるはずです。これでVR空間に美少女を召還することができました。
